ShellACT is an ACT! Add-On that extends ACT! to the Windows Shell.
Simply right-click on any file in Windows Explorer and ShellACT is available to quickly attach the selected document to any contact in your ACT! database.
ShellACT is perfect for times when you're not working in ACT! but need to quickly associate a file or document you are working on with a contact. The next time you open ACT!, the files you linked with ShellACT appear as file attachments to you contact.
Another great use of ShellACT is in conjunction with PhotoACT. Download or acquire photos from any source and then use ShellACT to associate them with each of your contacts. Within ACT!, PhotoACT will display each image as a thumbnail associated with each contact.
For MS Word users, there's another feature of ShellACT that lets you quickly insert any ACT! contact's data directly into the current document.
Just select the ShellACT menu item from within Word and a popup list of ACT! contacts appears. Select the contact and then the data that you wish to insert and it is immediately pasted into your document.
This can save a lot of time trying to copy-and-paste from ACT! or otherwise transfer data form ACT! into Word.
